Those who are ending their shift before sunrise may run into a few snowflakes. Radar is picking up on a elongated batch of flurries and snow showers as a mid-level disturbance pushes through.
Now, we do have some dry air present in the lower-levels of the atmosphere. What this may do is lessen the chance for these snowflakes to reach the surface by evaporating them during their descent.
Chances for any "flakage" will be best before sunrise, with clouds staying put for the first half of Veterans Day. We may even see cloud cover stick around into the afternoon before clearing takes place near sunset. Prior to sunset, an established gusty wind will blow, this time out of the south and southwest. At times, winds could gust up to 25 to 35 mph. This warmer wind will help push afternoon highs out of the 30s and back into the low 40s.
This gradually warming trend will continue as we see an upper-level ridge move into the Midwest. This will help transport milder air into the area for Wednesday, Thursday, and also Friday.
Despite a robust northwesterly wind Wednesday, high temperatures will peak in the upper 40s. By Thursday and Friday, we're in the 50s and 60s with 60s carrying on into the beginning of the weekend. High pressure also means dry weather will accompany this warming trend with our next "best" chance for rain holding off until late Saturday into early Sunday.
