A combination of fog and spotty drizzle has dropped visibility below 1 mile for a few. If you plan on being out for the morning commute, travel with caution and give yourself enough following distance.
Forecast-wise, not much will change for our Thursday as cloud cover looks to stay put. Like Tuesday and Wednesday, this will severely limit our effectiveness to warm up, leaving us in the upper 40s. Now, some models do show clouds breaking apart for a few Stateline locales during the late-afternoon and early-evening hours. If this scenario were to occur, this may possibly get a spot or two to the 50° mark. However, I'm thinking cloud cover holds strong. As we've discussed this week, another storm system is expected to come out of the southwest U.S and into the central plains by Friday morning. With how far south the track of this system has trended, the chance for rain locally remains extremely low. If any locale were to see a chance for rain Friday, it would be for those along and south of Interstate 88. Temperatures Friday will end up a smidge warmer compared to today, landing in the low 50s.
