Tale of two halves this weekend with cool-down to follow

Thursday night will not feature much in the way of cloud cover, as temperatures drop into the mid and upper 30s overnight. More sunshine will return Friday, pushing temperatures well into the 60s. Average highs for this time of year are closer to the upper 40s, so this is unseasonably warm for this time of year!

We will see similar temperatures for Saturday, but an early day cold front will bring changes toward the evening and overnight. A few stray showers may be possible through 1-2PM, but most will likely end up dry. Northwest winds will pick up a bit during the afternoon behind the front, helping to drop temperatures into the evening. Temperatures will remain in the 50s beyond sunset, but will fall to the 30s overnight, setting the stage for a much cooler Sunday.

A brief round of high pressure will slide in for Sunday, bringing a return of more sunshine. But behind Saturday's front, it will be quite a bit cooler with afternoon highs struggling to reach 50 degrees. The following night will be quite a bit cooler as well, with overnight lows in the upper 20s. The more seasonable trend sticks with us through much of next week with highs in the upper 40s through at least Thursday.
